Terms

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of HYPESCRAPER named on the imprint ("we"). By creating an account, posting anything or buying anything, you accept them. If you only read the site, the parts about content, links and liability still apply. The method, how anonymity works and the sponsor method are part of these terms.

1. What HYPESCRAPER is

A public collection of field reports about how AI is used at work, written by the people running it, with aggregate numbers, a few games and paid products for people and companies. Nothing on it is professional, legal or financial advice. The numbers are self-selected, not a representative survey.

2. Who may use it

You must be 18 or older to create an account, post, answer, or buy anything.
One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
Keep your login secure.

3. What you post

You keep the rights to what you write. By posting a report, a question or an answer, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, edit for length and anonymity, publish, quote and archive it on HYPESCRAPER and in our share cards, videos, Pro briefs, research and Reality Reports, for as long as the site and its archive exist. You can delete your own content at any time; it disappears from the next release, though copies others made may remain.
Only post what you saw yourself or know first-hand. Do not post anything that identifies a person, a customer, or (unless it is public) your employer; anything confidential you are not allowed to share; personal data of others; or anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or defamatory. Use Check for names before you file.
No undisclosed promotion. If you work for or are paid by a vendor you write about, say so.
Daily questions, Hype-or-real claims and example reports are written by us.

4. Moderation

A person reads first reports, every question to the field, every research question and every sponsored placement before they go live. We may edit for anonymity and length, decline, hide or remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and restrict or suspend accounts that break the rules.
Anyone can flag content on the site, or send a notice through the contact form (topic "Legal"). Each decision to remove or restrict comes with a statement of reasons, and you can ask us to review it the same way. You may also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body or the courts.

5. Votes, points, ranks and badges

Useful and Hype votes, points, Field Rank and badges are free and for fun. They have no money value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and do not convert into anything except the rewards described in section 6. We may correct them when they were created by a bug or by breaking the rules (for example by vote rings or multiple accounts).

6. Paid products

Current phase: payments are simulated. No card can be charged, and paid actions can be completed only by our admins for testing. The rest of this section applies once real payments start; we will announce that on the site first. All prices include VAT.

Ask the field (€19, or €49 with private answers)

You ask one practical question. A person checks it before it opens: practice questions only, nothing about a named company's internals or its customers. We may ask you to edit it; if you do not edit within 7 days, or we cannot open it, you get a full refund.
Once open, it stays open for 7 days. Guarantee: if fewer than 2 qualifying answers arrive in those 7 days, you get a full refund automatically. A qualifying answer is published, not hidden, written by someone other than you, and at least 100 characters long. The question stays public and can still get answers after a refund.
You can mark one answer as accepted until 7 days after the question closes. If you do not, the qualifying answer with the most Useful votes (at least 2) is accepted automatically. The accepted answer's author receives 30 days of Pro and 10 points.
Questions and answers are public by default and may be quoted under section 3. With the private option (€49), answers are visible only to you and to each answer's author; the title and details remain visible to logged-in members so they can answer.
Answers come from other members. We do not check them for correctness and are not responsible for what you do with them.

Pro (€8 for 30 days, €79 for 365 days)

Pro gives you benchmarks, full search and filters, weekly alerts, AI reality briefs (PDF, kept for 30 days) and no sponsored placements. The yearly plan includes one question to the field per calendar quarter while it is active; unused questions expire at the end of the quarter and do not add up.
In the simulated phase Pro never renews by itself. Once real payments start, a subscription renews until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
When Pro ends, the Pro features stop and your alerts pause. Nothing is deleted for 90 days.
Pro earned as a reward (accepted answer, research answer) works the same way and has no money value.

Research question (€290)

One to five structured items to practitioners matching your filters (role, team size, providers), open for 14 days or until 50 qualifying responses. A person checks it before it opens: neutral wording, no sales or lead-generation questions, no contact fields, nothing about a named company's internals.
Your sponsor name is shown to respondents. Respondents are never identified to you, and you will never receive their handles or emails.
You receive a PDF and a CSV of totals, plus at most 10 short quotes a person has checked. No cross-tabs, no row-level data.
Guarantee: if fewer than 10 qualifying responses arrive, you get €290 × (10 − n) ÷ 10 back automatically (n = the number of qualifying responses; no responses means a full refund). If we reject the question, you get a full refund.
Each qualifying respondent receives 30 days of Pro (at most twice per quarter).

Reality Report (€490 per edition, €990 per year)

A quarterly PDF built from the reality numbers, following the method. The yearly plan includes four editions and the aggregate tables as CSV. Row-level data is never included.
Before the first edition you can pre-order. Guarantee: if the first edition is not available within 6 months of your pre-order, you get a full refund automatically.
A quarter that does not add at least 100 new complete reports is skipped; the yearly plan is then extended by one quarter.
The report is for your organisation's internal use. Quoting single figures with a link to hypescraper.io is fine; republishing the whole report is not.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content or digital services. For Ask the Field, briefs, research questions and Reality Reports, delivery starts at once; at checkout we ask for your express consent to that and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed or the content is delivered. Pro can be withdrawn from within 14 days; you then pay only for the days used. Your statutory rights and the guarantees above are not affected.

Refunds

Refunds under the guarantees above are automatic and go back to the original payment method. If we cannot deliver something you paid for, or remove it for a reason that is not your fault, we refund it.

7. Availability and changes

We run the site with care but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features and these terms; for changes that affect you materially we will give notice on the site at least 14 days ahead, and you can close your account if you disagree. The terms in force when you bought something continue to apply to that purchase.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not allow limitation. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Content posted by members is their own; we are not responsible for it before we know it is unlawful.

9. Ending

You can delete your account on Me at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, after a warning where reasonable. Paid periods you can no longer use because we closed your account without fault on your side are refunded pro rata.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established (see the imprint). If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in consumer arbitration proceedings, but we will always try to resolve a complaint directly.
